Magical Montmartre

Taken from that lovely Park -Dianne
We went on a Friday and the markets were on
A feast for the eyes and the soul
Colourful characters such as these two
Tea anyone?
We did stop for Lunch at the
Moulin de la Gallette...
miam miam!

  1. We sat at that same park behind the Sacre-Coeur for a long time, watching children play, people do yoga and listen to the sounds of the fountain. I saw the "colorful" characters as well!

    Lovely photos!

  2. Hi Suzi,

Isn't it wonderful up the hill of Montmartre.
So many interesting people, places to visit and see.
We had dinner at Moulin de la Gallette.

    Enjoy your week
    Hugs

  3. Oh, you found Dianne's park! How lovely! We were a bit rushed through Montmartre this time – markets were on but it was very crowded and I got a bit tired of being bumped around with all my gear! But next time we'll go when it's quieter.

  4. G - it's the 2nd time I have been to her lovely Park- last time I was in Paris my apartment was close to this area and so it was my stomping ground.
This time we did a special visit. It was so nice showing my friends around.
Carol, the food is lovely isnt it? We had a bit of a mix up with translations this time when ordering but it didnt matter - all part of the experience.
Danielle, It's so lovely seeing something so familiar. I know I felt like this reading your blog.

  5. Suz,
I love all the memories today. Two regrets. I did n't see those two "characters" and missed the basket of chocolat tarts! I'm glad you were able to dine at Moulin de la Gallette. What did you have? It looks marvelous.

PS Is "Diane's Parc" the one with the Love Wall?

  8. I do love that park and the less touristy parts of Montmartre. Marie, Peter, and I had a lovely déjeuner on the terrace of Mounlin de la Gallette.
